Just so you all know - McDonalds has put in a request for a Patent on making sandwiches. Apparently they have included a flow chart as well to ensure that no one steals their precise way of making a hamburger that doesn't taste very good.
When do we reach the point that we just say: "Hey, that's dumb," and worry about more important things?

When I worked for Ancestry.com they'd do stuff with the USPTO website all the time. After seeing stuff from that, it actually makes the McDonald's one look somewhat sane. Crazy I know, but you wouldn't believe some of the stuff people get patented!
